Sour and Spicy Dwarf Catfish Curry 

Tomato, tamarind, oil with onion gravy is common gravy to make many dishes in Myanmar. Catfish is cook with this gravy to get special flavor and season with spice leave for smell.


Ingredients
Truncated estuarine catfish - 320 g
Tamarind paste - a little
Onion - 2
Garlic - 4 cloves
Oil - a little
Salt - 1 tea spoon
Curry Powder - 1 tea-cup
Chicken Powder - 1 tea-cup
Coriander - a few
Fish sauce - a little
Chilli Poweder - a little

The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Panfry pounded onion paste.
  2. When an aroma starts rising, add fish sauce, salt and chicken powder while frying.
  3. When it gives the smell resulted from boiling it with fish sauce, add the fish and fry everything together.
  4. Stir the curry thoroughly for the fish to be well cooked and add water to the level that is just above the fish. Then boil it.
  5. When fish is cooked, add tamarind paste and let it boil.
  6. While it is boiling, check the taste and may add salt and chicken powder to adjust it. Lastly, garnish it with coriander. You may also put a little bit of masala instead of coriander for fragrance purposes.
