Indian Trumpet Fruit Salad 

Indian trumpet fruit is eaten in many different ways in Myanmar. This fruit is little bitter but some people like that kind of taste. Roast, marinate, pickle and some serve with fresh fruit in salad form.


Ingredients
Indian trumpet - 1
Onion - 6
Roasted peanut - 1 tea-cup
Sun dried shrimp - 1 tea-cup
Salt - 2 teaspoon
Chicken powder - 2 teaspoon
Oil - 170 g

The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Slice Indian trumpet into thin pieces and soak them in salt water. Rinse them 3 times and sieve them from water after seasoning them in salt water.
  2. Blend sun dried shrimps into flakes and pound roasted peanut into powder.
  3. Slice onions into thin pieces and panfry those of 1 onion.
  4. After all the ingredients are prepared, put all of them into a big bowl with chicken powder and lime juice. Use oil from panfryed onions and put it into salad without pieces of onion. Mix everything thoroughly.
  5. You may either add more fish sauce and more lime juice if you like it sour and salty. Indian trumpet itself is spicy, but you may add green chilli if you like it very hot and spicy. Lastly, put panfryed onions on top before serving.
