Dried Trumpet Flower Salad 

This flower salad is a very special dish. That flower is only bloom in early rainy season of Myanmar. If you want to make whole year you can dried trumpet flowers. This dish can be serve as both side dish or snack. Not a normal dish find in market and mostly eaten in central Myanmar.


Ingredients
Boilded Dried Trumpet Flower - 1 cup
Onion - 5
Green chilli - 5
Fried garlic in oil - 2 clove + 1 teacup of oil
Peanut - 2 teacup
Sun dried prawn - 1 teacup
Tomato - 2
Fish sauce - a little
Chicken powder - a little
Lime - 1
Chilli powder - a little

The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Boil 2 litres of water in a pot and when it boils, put dried trumpet flowers and boil it with closed lid. After 5 minutes, take them out of pot and sieve them from water. Let them cool down. After it becomes cold, squeeze water out of trumpet flowers and chop them into pieces.
  2. Rinse and chop green chillies and onions. Crush peanuts and pound sun dried prawns into powder separately. Put the ingredients into one plate as shown in the picture. Add salt, chicken powder, soy sauce, lime juice, tomato paste, chilli powder and fried garlic. Mix everything together.
  3. You could also add more salt, soy sauce and lime juice to make the flavour richer.
