Mont Bind Htaunt 

“Mont Bind Htaunt” is a very traditional breakfast, you in local bazaar till these days. This rice base food is eat together with shred coconut, a cup of green tea and pound mixture of sesame and salt.


Ingredients
Rice or rice powder - 2 cup
Quick Line - 1 teaspoon
Coconut - a few
Sesame - a little
Salt - a little
Oil - a little

The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. If you are using rice, grind it with water. Sieve and squeeze it in a piece of cloth to get rid of water. Afterward, you may beat the dough and shape them into spheres. If you are using rice powder instead, just put small amount of water and mix well. Shape dough into spheres.
  2. Put one tablespoon of quicklime into big pot and heat it in 2 litre of water until the water boils and forms bubble.
  3. Add the pieces of dough when water is boiling.
  4. Keep boiling until they come up to the surface of water and float. After that, take the dough out and crush them into pieces as shown in the picture. Knead the dough.
  5. After the consistent kneading, dough is ready.
  6. Take a tiny piece of dough and roll it between the palms. It can give the shape shown in the picture.
  7. After the dough is broken up into those pieces, put them into the steamer pot.
  8. Using the steam of boiling water and steam the pieces for about 15 minutes. Top it with small amount of peanut oil and you may consume it together with coconut flakes and sesame seeds.
