Pork with Sweet White Radish

Pork with sweet white radish is easy to cook and tasty main dish. Sweet flavor of radish is top of all flavor in this dish.


Ingredients

Raddish - 3
Pork - 250 g
Onion - 2
Garlic - 4 cloves
Ginger - a few
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Chicken powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Star of anise - a few
Fish Sauce - 3 tablespoon
Pepper - a little
Leek - a few
Oil - 2 tablespoon
The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Rinse radish and peel. Cut it into chunks
  2. Chop the pork and marinate it with light soy sauce
  3. Cut one onion into 4 pieces
  4. Chop ginger and garlic for panfry
  5. Heat pan with oil and add garlic, ginger and star of anise when oil starts to boil
  6. When aroma starts to rise, add pork, soy sauce, salt and chicken powder. Mix them thoroughly
  7. When pork becomes medium rare, add water so that pork can be tender and well cooked. Keep heating with closed lid until then.
  8. When pork is tender, add radish and onion. Close the lid and cook until soup is boiling.
  9. When soup is boiling and radish is soften, taste and adjust the flavour by either chicken powder or salt
  10. Lastly, garnish the dish with leek and pepper before consumption
