The AFC said in a statement, following the imposition of further preventive measures and travel restrictions by several governments due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Asian Football Confederation has decided to postpone all the AFC Cup 2020 matches until further notice.
Before the announcement, the AFC had postponed all the AFC Cup West Zone Group Stage matches on March 12 and the latest decision applies to all the matches in March and April across the five AFC Zones which are South Asia, Central Asia, ASEAN, and East Asia included in the West Zone. The AFC said it will monitor the situation before deciding when to recommence the 2020 AFC Cup season.
Myanmar National League clubs Yangon United and Shan United are competing in Group F and H of the the tournament.
After three matches, Yangon United is in second place in Group F with seven points while Shan United has no points in the Group H.
The AFC also decided to postpone all tournaments they are organising by them and new dates will be announced later on.
