Myanmar Futsal League champion Myanmar Imperial College (MIU) has signed a new player from Thailand in preparation for the MFF Myanmar Futsal League 2019-20 second round.

Nattawat Luksanato from Thailand will be the second Thai player to join MIU Futsal Club and will play until the end of the second round.

“Renato from Brazil left the club upon the completion of his contract and we did not extend his contract. So we replaced him with Nattawat from Thailand,’’ MIU FC coach U Aung Aung told the Myanmar Times.

Brazilian Renato was one of the main players for MIU in the first round and he is still the current top scorer in the league.

Nattawat Luksanato joins his countryman Suratsawang Ekapong in the second round of the league.

MIU signed Nattawat from Thailand’s Samutsakhon Futsal Club. Before joining MIU, he had played for teams in Thailand, Indonesia and the Netherland.

He won the top-scorer award in the Thai Futsal League in 2011 and 2012 and was former Thai national team player.

MIU is currently second in the Myanmar Futsal League, behind VUC on goal difference.
