Myanmar U19 team to face Kagoshima United U18 in Japan 486

Myanmar’s national Under-19 team will face Japanese club Kagoshima United’s Under-18 team in the Jenesys 2019 tournament in Kagoshima, Japan today at 2pm.

The Japan-Asean U19 football tournament will be held in Kagoshima, Japan from February 26 to 29 and there will be eight teams participating in the tournament.

Myanmar’s U19 team will play teams from Cambodia, Timor and Japan in Group B, while Malaysia, Laos, Japan, represented by the Kagoshima Selection U18 team will compete in Group A.

In the opening match, Myanmar will play with Kagoshima United Under 18 team.

Myanmar will then take onTimor in its second match on February 27 and Cambodia on February 28.

On February 29, teams with equal point from both groups will play against each other in the last matches of the tournament to establish their ranking. The organisers will not giving prize money under the rules of tournament, which is aimed at achieving more experiences for young players.

The Myanmar Under-19 team is competing in Myanmar National League 2 as the Junior Lions under head coach U Soe Myat Min.

After four matches in Myanmar National League 2, Junior Lions FC are tied with Chin United with four wins each.
