Tickets for Myanmar-Japan World Cup qualifier to go on sale next week 360

Match tickets will be sold next week for Myanmar’s match against Japan in the World Cup qualification play-off to be held at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar on September 10.

According to the Myanmar Football Federation, the tickets will be available at Thuwunna, Aung San, Padonmar Stadium and Hledan Centre from September 5 and the prices are K5000 for grandstand seating, K3000 for the east stand and K2000 for ordinary stand.

Myanmar are in Group F together with Japan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan for the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which also serves as the second round of 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification. Myanmar will meet with Mongolia in its opening match taking place at the MFF Football Center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 5, before the match against Japan.

Myanmar is currently training and plans to play a training match against China at National Football Training Centre in Xianghe, Hebei, China today.

Myanmar’s Montenegrin head coach Miodrag Radulovic has selected 23 players for China and Mongolia matches.

The goalkeepers are Kyaw Zin Htet, Kyaw Zin Phyo, Pyae Lyan Aung. Defenders are Zaw Lin, Zaw Min Tun, David Htan, Nanda Kyaw, Thein Than Win, Soe Moe Kyaw, Pyae Phyo Zaw, Kyaw Zin Lwin. Midfielders are Maung Maung Lwin, Suam Lam Mang, Hlaing Bo Bo, Yan Aung Kyaw, Sithu Aung, Lwin Moe Aung, Kyi Lin,Kaung Sithu. Forwards are Win Naing Soe, Aung Thu, Kyaw Ko Ko, Than Paing.

The Japanese national team is headed by coach Hajime Moriyasu, a former Japanese national football team player.

Japan may select Europe-based players who are Kawashima of Strasbourg from France, Italian club Bologna player Tomiyasu, Portuguese club Porto player Nakajima, Real Madrid young player Kubo (on loan to Mallorca), Barcelona B team player Hiroki Abe, former premier league champions player and Spain club Malaga player Shinji Okazaki and J-League players for the match.

Myanmar and Japan met once in a senior match played during Asian Games on October 17, 1994 where Japan trounced Myanmar 5-0.
