Temporary 17-month-closed Myawady Friendship Bridge reopens Border Trade at Thai-Myanmar Border on 5th December .
In order to reopen and when reopenning Border Trade, works to carry out were discussed in Myawady District Administrative Office Meeting Hall on 4th December by the attendents of Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, Prime Minister for its Division and the responsible persons.
Myawady Border Trade was started in September 1998 and closed Border Trade in temporary officially on 18th July 2010.
Moreover two Nations Friendship Bridge was closed in temporary on 17th July, 2010, now it reopens on 5th December 2011 that took temporary closing period 17 months long.
Union Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, U Win Myint addressed about officially and temporarily closed 2 Nation Friendship Bridge and Border Trade reopenning,”Due to its close, Grassroots and workers became jobless.”
“Now legal Border Trade Reopen may make better relationship between 2 countries that mainly aimed for Black Market Reduction and for Border Development,” he said.
