“They are from Pyawbwe Lay Village and returned from Thailand. One woman got ill but the other three are in good health. They are kept in quarantine at the hospital and provided medical care. Their conditions are not worse,” said Dr Nyunt Sein, Medical Superintendent of the district hospital.

“The woman came back to Meiktila from Thailand on March 8. She had a cough first and then suffered illness. Her neighbours are worried about it and want them to send them to hospital. We wore protective suits but we need more suits as we only have three or four protective suits,” said Kyaw Ko Ko from Myo Sett Thit Myat Parami social welfare association.
