Strong Taste Fish Soup with Lady Finger 

In Myanmar, sour soup usually appear in traditional Myanmar meals. Fish soup with lady finger is one of these soup. With tamarind paste this soup have strong taste and become appetizer for whole meal.

Lady finger - 10
Fish -300 g
Onion - 1
Garlic - 2 cloves
Chilli Powder - 1 tablespoon
Coriander - a few
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Chicken Powder - 2 teaspoon
Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
Tamarind paste - a few

The following is the instruction of how to cook step by step in English
  1. Rinse fish and cut them into large chunks.
  2. Rinse lady finger and cut them into halves.
  3. Pound onions, garlics and chilli powder together for panfry.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and panfry those pounded ingredients from step 3 with turmeric powder.
  5. When onions are fairly cooked, add fish and fry everything together. Add salt and chicken powder and cook until fish is well cooked.
  6. Add lady finger and water to the level that is just a little bit above the fish inside. Boil it until the soup is boiling.
  7. Add fish sauce. When the soup starts to boil, check whether both fish and vegetables are cooked. If they are, then add tamarind paste and wait for it to boil.
  8. When the soup is boiling, it is ready for serving after garnishing it with coriander. You may add more salt or chicken powder to improve the taste.
